I am a sociocultural anthropologist, qualitative and socio-legal researcher, legal writer, and doctoral candidate at the University of California, Berkeley specializing in law in the contemporary People’s Republic of China. My doctoral research has focused ethnographically on the intersection of civil law and social morality and conceptually on the emergence of Chinese legal subjectivity.
